About the project
In collaboration with HMS, Norda was given the exciting opportunity to develop a comprehensive public website dedicated to construction projects across Iceland. This platform serves as a crucial resource, transforming complex building information into accessible data while hosting detailed structural information and various applications for a wide range of users.
Project Scope & Impact
The HMS Construction Data Portal is a large-scale platform designed to serve both industry professionals and the general public. With vast amounts of construction data and project details, the website plays a key role in promoting transparency and bridging the gap between the government, construction professionals, and Icelandic citizens. The platform not only simplifies access to structural data but also showcases the vibrant and evolving real estate landscape in Iceland.
Template Creation & Dynamic Data Integration
As part of the project, we focused on creating a standardized template for building detailed yet easy-to-navigate subsites. I contributed by designing and building engaging subsites that enhance the user experience, ensuring that critical information is easily accessible. Additionally, the website features dynamic data integration, translating complex construction data into digestible formats for all users, regardless of their technical expertise.
Design System & My Role
I played a key role in designing and establishing a comprehensive design system for the HMS project, ensuring both visual and functional consistency across the entire platform. My focus was on creating a clean, modern design that not only enhanced the platform's aesthetics but also prioritized usability, making complex data accessible to all users. I designed intuitive UI elements and workflows that guided users through the site effortlessly.
